Stampquill

Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026

Stampquill ("the app") is a notary journal and business record-keeping tool. Your privacy, and the privacy of the signers you record, is central to how the app is built.

Data we collect

None. Stampquill has no accounts, analytics, advertising, or servers. Everything you enter, including signer information, ID details, signatures, thumbprints, photos, appointments, fees, fee disclosures, expenses and business details, is stored only on your device.

Camera and Face ID

The camera is used only when you choose to photograph an ID or thumbprint. Face ID or your passcode is used only to lock the app. Biometric data never leaves Apple's secure hardware and is never available to Stampquill.

Calendar and notifications

When you choose "Add to Calendar", Apple's calendar editor opens with the appointment details and saves the event only if you confirm. Stampquill doesn't read your calendar. Commission-expiration reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device; nothing is sent to a server.

Exports, receipts and backups

Data leaves your device only when you choose to share it: an exported journal (PDF or CSV), an invoice or itemized receipt, a fee disclosure message, or an expense CSV, sent wherever you pick in the share sheet. It also leaves through your own iCloud or computer device backups. You are responsible for keeping exported journals secure and for meeting your state's record-retention rules.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple. We receive no payment information.
